Katharina Kuß is a fine art and environmental photographer. Born on the Baltic Sea coast and raised in Berlin, she spent many years traveling across Europe as a digital nomad before eventually returning to her roots. Today, she lives and works on the beautiful island of Rügen.
In 2022/2023, she attended the Akademie für angewandte Photographie (Graz, AT), focusing on the development of individual creativity. In 2023, she received the Nationalparks Austria Photography Grant. In 2025, she taught the course “Creative Photography” at the Jugendkunstschulen Vorpommern-Rügen (Bergen, DE). In the same year, she received an award from Nikon Female Facets in the field of landscape photography. In 2025/2026, she studied at the Internationale Akademie für Photographie (Berlin, DE), specializing in environmental photography. Her graduation project was exhibited in 2026 at the horizonte zingst — Environmental Photography Festival (Zingst, DE).
